Coming home!

OK - They have officially told us we are ready to come home. Cheer Cheer! We still don't know exactly when we can actually leave the hospital today but maybe by late this afternoon we will be on our way.
Lydia got a little practice in her wheelchair, but it really tired her out. She has been sleeping a whole lot the past two days and the doctor says that will continue after we return home. It will probably be best if she doesn't have visitors until the middle of next week. I know that will be difficult for some of ya'll :) but she continues to try to make conversation and her body is just not ready. She will definitely be very antsy by next week and would really appreciate the visits then.
Please pray for a safe and comfortable trip home. Again, thanks for all the prayers!!

Lydia,
God is so good! We were thrilled to read that you are doing so well! Your mom has always talked about how strong her children are... your recovery is an example of your amazing strength! We will continue to pray for you as you heal and for your comfort as you travel. Audrey & John, you are also in our prayers. You are such a special family!

Lydia,
I drove through Chatanooga today on my way back from Institute and was planning to drop something by the hospital. However I was SO excited when I saw that I could no longer visit you because you are headed home! You have been in my thoughts and prayers all week and I am continually excited to read about your great steps forward in your recovery. Know that your awesome smile and spirit is greatly missed in the Memphis corps! I'm keepin on praying for you and for a quick recovery!

Lots of Love,
Ellie Hahn

Okay, after working up a case of sweat and BO I have finally figured out how to work this technology to tell you that you have been in my thoughts and prayers. When you get home feel free to ask if you need anything,,,,,,,even to get your mom out for a drink, not Starbucks either! I am so glad that things are working out for you as God has answered so many prayers regarding your health. Take it easy, and you girls give your mom a REST from all the excitement so she can have a little vacation before school starts. Hope you liked your bear and balloon, hope you got it before you left. Love ya, Audrey

Congratulations on going home! I hope your trip was uneventful and reasonably comfortable for everyone. I really wanted to bring something to eat to your house, but when you snooze, you lose. I didn't get on the list fast enough. Bill and I send our thoughts and prayers. When you get settled in, we will call to see what we can do to assist in the girl recovery effort times two.
