Good News!

Lydia had a great report from the doctor today. Her lungs were clear, so no pneumonia. She had everything X-rayed and is healing nicely. She may need to have another small surgery on her femur bone, but that will not be until later. It will be done to straighten the bone if it doesn't straighten by itself. She began her physical therapy today and really surprised us. She worked hard and did all the exercises that she was asked to do. She also stood up, very carefully, and balanced on her left foot. The doctors and therapist want her out of that wheelchair fast! We do too! We are overjoyed with this outcome and are so thankful. As my cousin Paddy said on her blog " Our God is an Awesome God" (and that's one of my favorite camp songs).

That's great news!! Keep on trying hard and before you know it you will be walking again :) I know therapy is tough and painful but I have faith in you and remember that God is always with you and anything is possible with Him! My family and I are still praying for you and I hope you continue to recover.

Respectfully,

Adam Sweda

Won't be long till everyone will be sitting around someone's holiday table, sharing funny stories about this crazy summer:)

Hope I can bring dinner again soon and visit with all of you!

Hello from everyone in Tahoe!!
We all miss you out here..my grandma was just talking about her memories of us singing all the way back from Reno that one year (I'm pretty sure it was TBS! haha!) I'm soooo glad to hear such wonderful news! I got a little scared after hearing you weren't feeling well, but I'm so glad you bounced back so quickly! Good luck with physical therapy! I know you'll do great! I'm thinking and praying for you all the time! I love you!!

Mallory

p.s. Have you started the book yet? I just began the sequel (New Moon, the one Jenn bought for you) and it's very good so far! Can't wait to discuss it with you eventually!

This post comes from Eufaula, Alabama. Somehow I stumbled on to this blogspot from a Caringbridge site. I wanted you all to know that there are prayers being lifted up for Lydia from complete strangers. Your family is so beautiful and I know that you will all be there to cheer her back to good health again.
I will also add Lydia's name to our prayer list at St. James' Episcopal Church here in Eufaula.
Sincerely, Ann Ballenger

Apparently the Breakfast Club is getting together without us! You'll have to get better so we can do something about that. Plus they're calling and texting just to rub it in! It's pretty low, I know, so I'm going back to Memphis tomorrow to take care of business. I hope you and the family are doing well.
