Update July 7-10:00 CST

Lydia's MRI report came back fine! We are so thankful and know all our prayers are being heard. She was a little disoriented this morning, which the doctor said was normal. They ordered another CT scan just as a precaution and we will hear about that this afternoon. She asked several times "when can I have my own room?". She is very ready to leave the ICU. We hope it won't be long. She has been blessed with visits from very close friends and I know this is keeping her spirits up. We are overwhelmed with all the postings on this site! Thanks you so much for reminding us how blessed we are. Please continue to keep us all in your prayers. We still have no idea how long we will be here in Chattanooga but hope to be home soon.

Audry, I wish I could see your beaming face!! Thank God, Lydia is responding so well and so quickly. She will bounce back quicker than we can imagine! We dropped off Will at Georgia Tech and met several of the TFA friends, including Lydia's summer roommate who is very nice. They all are great kids and they want Lydia back ASAP! I will continue to hold all of you in my prayers. And you and John are included in the Ole Miss tailgating when Lydia and the SEC crowd comes!!

Audrey, I have been out of town and able to read the blogs and keep up with Lydia's progress, but was unable to respond until I returned home. I am so thrilled to hear of her progress. I will continue to pray for Lydia's recovery, and for stregnth and guidance for you and your family.

Most of your Jazzercise class, already knows of the situation, but I will be sure to keep them posted of Lydia's progress. They will miss you until you return, but rest easy knowing we will keep it covered for you until you are able to return. Take care of yourself and your family at this time and we will continue to send our prayers your way.

If there is something you need, please dont hesitate to contact me.

I just read a passage about insulating ourselves from miracles, but from everything I have seen on this blog I sense that God is still imparting miracles upon the earth. Thanks for those updates and know that Lydia is in the prayers of nearly everyone I know.

God's peace.

Lydia,
It's great to hear that you're recovering so quickly. I knew you would though, because you've got such a great attitude. It must be those early bedtimes that you set for yourself. I want you to know that everyone is asking about you and can't wait to see you back. We need you to cheer us up with your goofy teacher stare, Mizz Jost. You're not missing much at Institute except the early mornings, but I'll keep you posted on any news. I just wanted to say that we all miss you and we'll be here when you're ready. I'll see you soon.

Lydia,

I am so thankful to hear that you are doing ok. Leave it to YOU to have such a positive attitude and your firecracker spirit in the midst of all this!

I'm on staff at a church in Birmingham this summer, and I have the prayer team and staff members praying for you. I pray that you will feel God's uplifting and that you'll be back to your old goofy self in no time.

So glad the Lord was faithful in keeping you safe--He knows you have tons more light to shine onto others with your unmatchable joyful spirit.

With love,
Lauren Long

Audrey,
I was so shocked when I got the news from Kim, then relieved when I read your blog update. Your family has had more than its share of life-threatening accidents this summer. Certainly all of you are in my prayers. I have forwarded this info to Belinda, who lives in the Chattanooga. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I'll keep up with your blog updates.

Love ya... Jan Price

Lydia is definitely a fighter! Her corp members (Ms. Wolf, and Mr. Brown), faculty advisor (Mrs. Dukes), and the students in her 5th grade class truly miss her. We are praying for her speedy recovery and the undying strength of the family as well. Please tell her we all said HELLO and we are singing her "ATL" song everyday in memory of her.

Audrey... we will continue to pray each night as a family for a good team of doctors, attentive nurses, effective pain medicine, wisdom for her medical team, and patience/rest for all of you as you endure this journey. We know you are relieved but won't really rest until she is safe at home. Please don't hesitate to add us to your list of people you can call if you need anything. Will and Clarissa both send a special hug,

Lydia,
I'm so glad to hear that you are having a steady recovery. It was amazing to see the concern at Grove Park Elementary today and to see how much your corps members, FA, and classroom care for you as well as everyone at our school and here in Atlanta. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I miss your serious teacher stare :) and I'm looking forward to seeing it when you're feeling better!

Lydia,

So glad to hear that you are recovering! I pray that you are able to leave ICU within the 5 day limit, if not sooner. I missed you so much today at school. Your smile and cheerful presence are constant encouragements to me and your students. You really are, "the coolest teacher." Praying for you! I cannot wait to see you again.

You rock it, Lydia, you really are made of steel! The CMA group misses you dearly, and now when we play our theme song, we root for you. "So how you gonna fix it..." I hope you and your family lets the Memphis group, or the CMA group, know if you need anything at all.

Best wishes!

Mandy
