Update 4:00 pm CST -by mom (Audrey)

Wow! What a difference 6 hours makes! Lydia is smiling and talking! She has informed us "I am made of steel" and plans a quick, full recovery. Her positive attitude is contagious. We are so happy she has had several tubes removed and looks more like herself. Keep us all in your prayers. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. We are also enjoying the comments.

Aunt Dokey writes...
Darling and brave Lydia,You did it even tho you certainly didn't intend to:You upstaged Ginny! Don't worry, tho, stay your courageous self; we here are covering you with prayers. In fact, Uncle Cole & I spent an hr. before the Blessed Sac. at OLS Chapel right after hearing abooout your accident. We also entered your name on the prayer list there.
Coley & Gigi are conversing in my ear; Gidi & Uncle Cole form a bsckground chorus. All are wondering why I'm taking so long to write this!? Anyway, know that we love you VERY MUCH & will continue to get our updates through the family grapevine.
Buddy just called with the latest.
Things souond good.

Audrey and John, We're glad to hear things are improving. Lydia sounds like she's determined to get through this fast. There have been several questions about Lydia's status on the JC 1972 web discussion so I have forwarded the blog info to Ross for distribution. If there's anything we can do here in Brmingham, let us know. Bill and Sammie.

Lydia and Family,
I am so glad to hear you are recovering slowly but surely. I can only speak officially for myself, but the rest of us in the car are recovering with the great help of our fellow teachers and are going to be okay. We miss you around Georgia Tech, and maybe sometime again we will go whitewater rafting together with some crazy tour guides.
With Love,
Akshay

Lydia, John and Audrey, we are praying so hard for Lydia's recovery and for John and Audrey to have the strength to give love and support to both girls and to each other!

Paul and I have put both girls on St Francis' prayer list and have asked our Curcillo groups to include the girls and their family in their prayers. My Mother has lit her candle...which is miraculous

We are taking Lasagna and Brownies to Ginny tonight.

Are you going to the Ronald McDonald House? Can I help? I would love to call there.

Lydia
It's Mr and Mrs Benton (Sarah Beth and Katie's parents). We're keeping you in our prayers constantly and already see how God has begun to heal your poor broken body! We were so scared when we first heard the news late Saturday afternoon and couldn't find anyone who knew any details. It was such a relief when we finally got in touch with Sarah Beth (who's in Nashville) and she was able to get in touch with Hollon who had the latest update. And now this blog is great b/c we can check it to see how much progress you're making. Aren't we glad that God created smart people like your Aunt Cameron who know how to do blogs like this??? We will continue to pray for your full recovery and also for Ginny as she recovers from her accident...
We'll also be praying for your mom and dad...and your brothers....the entire Jost family! so glad that you are able to at least smile and were laughing together just picturing you doing that!
God will continue to heal your body and your spirit! War Eagle!
