I just heard about Lydia today when I took my son to be tutored by Audrey. I had also been keeping updated with Ginny when I would see Audrey on Fridays. I can't imagine what your family has been going through this summer, but I am so grateful that everyone seems to be healing. Please know that we are praying for you.
Hi Lydia,
Praying for the details of your return home to be worked out as you continue to recover. "There's no place like home!"
I am one of your neighbor's, and I met you a couple of months ago when I was out walking with your Aunt Cameron. I was in a near fatal car accident 15 years ago.I was hit head on by an 18 wheeler and had to be flown by the life saver helicopter to Carraway. I broke both femurs, wrist bones, my patella, had big gash on my forehead, had blood transfusions, and lacerations all over my body. I had the rod in my femur bone, and other surgeries to repair my other breaks. I spent the summer having to recuperate and do lots of physical therapy at home, Spain Rehab Center, and at Health South.
I want you to be encouraged that I was able to eventually return to my job as a 4th grade teacher, and even went mountain climbing in Austria and travelled all over Europe one year later. Know that you will heal. And there may be times you will have to remember the "No pain, no gain," mentality. When you are up to visitors I hope I can bring your family a meal. Rest, rest, rest, and heal, heal, heal! Enjoy this time with your wonderful parents, family, friends, and others who care about you! You are being covered with prayer...and God is not finished with you yet!!!
Love in Christ,

P.S. The folowing verses were encouraging to me as I was healing...
"Therefore strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed." Hebrews 12:12-13
and
Jeremiah 30:17 "I will restore health to you and heal your wounds."
